Located in northeastern Oregon, the Caithness Shepherds Flat Wind Farms are comprised of three separate projects that deliver significant economic and environmental benefits to the State of Oregon:

• Shepherds Flat North
• Shepherds Flat Central
• Shepherds Flat South

The Wind Farms deploy 338 wind turbines across 32,100 acres to generate 845 megawatts of clean energy – enough to power 227,000 homes. The $1.9 billion facilities will play an important role in harnessing the power of wind to strengthen Oregon’s economy, advance the state’s renewable energy capacity, and bolster America’s energy security.

This project proves that we can create jobs and lift up the rural economy by generating clean, carbon-free, renewable energy while still allowing local ranchers to graze their herds on the surrounding land just as they have for generations.”
